Hills SVL Audio Solutions showcase new technologies!

Hills SVL’s audio division exhibited many new products at Integrate and even managed to throw some magic into the mix!

The Beyerdynamic Revoluto invisible microphones astounded visitors. The microphones offer pristine sound quality, but without the unsightly microphone arm we have come to accept. One visitor commented, “wow what a great concept, it will definitely revolutionise how we use microphone technology in the future.” In addition, the camera-tracking feature of the Beyerdynamic Conferencing products pleasantly surprised visitors. When a user pushes the microphone button, the camera automatically zooms in on them.

Other major attractions included the new Williams Sound range of IR transmitters. “Visitors found that the IR transmission worked so well then even when they covered the receiver with their hands, or put it inside their pockets, they could still pick up strong signals.” Comments Michael Pun, National Brand Manager, for Williams Sound.

Participants to the Technology for Worship seminars got to experience the clarity of Williams Sound products firsthand. The organisers did not want to use a PA system, as it would have disturbed neighbouring stands. So Hills SVL loaned them 40 Williams Sound IR receiver/headphones. It allowed the instructor to speak into a Mipro wireless microphone, which was then fed to a Williams Sound TX90 IR Modulator/Emitter. All participants then listen to the Instructor via the receiver/headphones.

Hills SVL provides a refreshing take on AV Solutions

Hills SVL’s latest additions – Vivitek Projectors and QOMO Interactive Technologies were well visited throughout the show.

There was significant interest in the D952HD native 1080p projector due to its unique features and very competitive price point. The Vivitek D795WT was also popular, as extreme short throw products appear to be the flavour of the month.

The Vivitek “High Five” promotion was also of interest and the specification of the D326WX was seen as being of benefit to a variety of market segments such as classroom, boardroom, portable requirements and even entry level home theatre.

The QOMO display was constantly a buzz with dynamic demonstrations by QOMO’s Kyle Greetham. Attendees were very impressed with the range of products being offered by QOMO and how they integrated seamlessly with Flow Works to provide a complete intuitive integrated solution for the modern classroom.

“Many visitors expressed how refreshing it was to see a product with plenty of basic features with the added robustness of the hardware that provided a real competitive alternative to the already established interactive products. Hills SVL have definitely provided a product to the Australian education & training market that will be the envy of its competitors.” Comments Dan Fletcher, National Manager AV, Hills SVL.

For more information on these brands please contact your local Hills SVL branch.

Australian Monitor Goes Digital at Integrate 2010!

Australian Monitor continued their digital expansion with the debut of several new digital products to eager crowds at Integrate 2010. Visitors enjoyed live demonstrations of the Australian Monitor AV Revolution DSP, Zone Revolution DSP and the exciting AMD Digital Mixer Amplifiers.

The new Australian Monitor AMD Series Amplifiers were the feature of the show. Combining Class D digital amplification with simple remote control via an Australian Monitor ICON Control Panel, and with on board digital sound processing on the mixer amps, the AMD Series Amplifiers will take the humble mixer amplifier to a whole new level.

If that’s not enough, the AMD Series Amplifiers are the perfect space saving solution in a 1RU chassis. Whether your application calls for constant voltage or low impedance amplification, AMD is the solution for you.

The on-board DSP provides remote source selection and volume control via a stylish end-user GUI. Processor adjustments like limiting, delay and parametric EQ for acoustically challenging environments are available and all Revolution products can be integrated with a third party control system. The AMD Series of Mixer and Power Amplifiers have the complete solution and will be available later in the year.

Visitors also enjoyed experiencing live demonstrations of the Australian Monitor Zone Revolution DSP. Designed as a stereo zoning & paging solution for the bar and club market, the Zone Revolution with a combination of stereo and mono outputs, has the flexibility to handle most foreground and background processing as well as paging applications.

In addition, the Australian Monitor AV Revolution DSP is packed with processing power for applications ranging from lecture theatres, boardrooms, function rooms and systems requiring room-combining capabilities. With accessories such as the remote ICON Control Panels and optional CobraNet card (coming early 2011), the AV Revolution also offers a combination of mono mic/line inputs and stereo program sources, as well as balanced line outputs across five zones.
